How come only women have to wear hats and gloves to church but not the men? I'm just curious?

From my unfriendly experience, it's because women are sacred. Like how Holy of Holies was masked from view in the center of the Jewish Temple. So it's not that women are covered up because we're BAD, but because we're staunch.
