What should i wear to ascot - dress code for women?

What is the bandage codes/rules for outfits for ascot?
I am a size 18 and have need of to know what kind of dress i can wear - length, socialize with baring, strapless, am i allowed to show my tattoo - its on my right unashamedly, do i have to wear heels???

I don't be sure what an ascot is - sadly, i know the word from the Redneck Dictionary by Jeff Foxworthy - "..her ascot so big...
